Server Assistant
Shift: AM & PM Available
Basic Function:
Set up and clear tables, stock all service stations and assist food servers with table service to ensure total guest satisfaction in a professional & courteous manner.
Work Performed:
- Prepare any necessary set up to perform the job properly. (Complete side-work)
- Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting. Promptly, quietly and consistently reset all service ware as prescribed.
- Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments.
- Serve guests with beverages, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary. Service should be in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning.
- Keep the workstation clean.
- Read all memos.
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products asassigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
- Folding napkins for all meal periods throughout the day to maintain an adequate supply.
- Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills, or special guest requests, to ensure total guest satisfaction.
- Remove the garbage bags/bin from restaurants and bar.
- Report your supervisor before ending your shift.
- All other projects as by management.

Responsibility & Authority
- Complete knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
- Basic knowledge of food & beverage menus
- Ability to understand verbal English to comprehend basic guest requests.
- Ability to understand written English to read any caution or safety notices.
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 45 lbs. through a crowded room.
- Work efficiently & as a team
- Knowledge of resort layout
- Observe all safety procedures during the execution of assigned duties.
- Practice standard 10-5-3 rule
- Observe all resort policies regarding uniform, hygiene and grooming.
Minimum requirements:
Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Prior hospitality experience preferred. Needs to be flexible, self-motivated, and positive and have a professional attitude towards guests, co-worker and management. Must also be able to perform all related duties as assigned.
