Mindfulness Practitioner
Job Description
Basic Function: Lead special classes or consultations with guests in assigned area of training. Provide a safe, clean, motivating and nurturing environment for learning, that exceeds guest’s expectations
Work Performed:
- Lead or facilitate special classes or consultations and provide instruction to guests in specific area
- Effectively communicate Mii amo’s philosophy to guests
- Understand the area of expertise training on
- Attend and participate in regularly scheduled training sessions and meetings
- Be an active participant in the department by contributing to new programs and development ideas
- Be guest service oriented and interact with guests in a pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic manner
- Perform classes or consultations in a safe manner in compliance with all recognized standards
- Ensure proper supplies are gathered for each class or consultation
- Provide clear and appropriate directions to guests for overall safety.
- Display appropriate teamwork, flexibility and interpersonal skills
- Follow all Department Standards of Operations at all times
- Provide a safe, clean, personal, entertaining and well thought out class or consultation that exceeds guest’s expectations
- Maintain participant information as necessary
- Keep all work space areas clean, neat and maintained.
- Ensure proper tools and equipment is purchased for safety with manager as necessary
- Maintain confidentiality of Mii amo information at all times
- Other duties as assigned
Supervision Exercised: None
Supervision Received: Fitness and Mindfulness Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED, and/or equivalent work experience. Certification or specific training in area of expertise. 1-3 years recent experience in area of expertise for classes of consultations. Ability to confidently lead and motivate a group or individual. Able to assess the level and special needs of the participant(s) and modify the class or consultation accordingly. Attention to detail and able to multi-task many priorities. Self motivated ability to work with little supervision and organized. Must be dependable. Hold current CPR and First Aid certification. Willing to learn instruction methods. Ability to lead guests in safe and professional manner. Display a healthy well-balanced body, a neat appearance, and a caring attitude and is able to communicate clearly and simply.
Physical Requirements:
50% Sitting
50% walking, standing & bending including tasks for specific class or consultation
Lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs.
Hearing and manual dexterity
Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
