Job Description

Basic Function:   Daily maintenance of cafeteria to ensure it is neat, clean and well stocked.  Light preparation duties to assist cooks.  Assist with stewarding duties

Work Performed:

  1. Ensure cafeteria area is clean, stocked with all condiments and coffee
  2. Wipe, clean and stock tables daily 
  3. Ensure plates, cups and utensils are stocked throughout the day 
  4. Report to work at scheduled time and maintain good personal hygiene and neat and clean uniform
  5. Assist cooks/stewards with setting up the salad bar, making sure that all containers are clean, full and changed 
  6. Assist cooks/stewards with running hot and cold food as needed from walk-in and hot box
  7. Communicate with the Cafeteria Cook and Banquet Chef as needed for food and supplies
  8. Keep cafeteria storage areas clean and organized
  9. Clean salad bar and steam table unit daily
  10. Empty trash, sweep and mop floor daily
  11. Keep water levels of steam table unit at proper temperature and full
  12. Act as an ambassador of Enchantment by speaking positively of the Resort at all times
  13. Foster a work environment of teamwork and mutual service by assisting coworkers and other departments as necessary to exceed our employee and guest expectations
  14. Work with other employees as a team member
  15. Basic knowledge of health and sanitation rules including proper holding temperatures and good food handling and storage practices
  16. Communicate effectively with all employees
  17. Monitor the radio in Oasis daily ensuring stations are rotated and updates board 
  18. Maintain current Yavapai County food handlers certification
  19. Other duties as assigned

Supervision Received:    Banquet Chef

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED, and/or equivalent work experience.   Must be comfortable communicating with staff with Basic English.    Attention to detail and able to multi-task many priorities.  Self motivated, ability to work with little supervision and organized.  Must be dependable.  Must maintain current food handler’s certification

Physical Requirements:

75% walking and standing 

25% bending and stooping

Lifting/Carrying up to 50 lbs.

Hearing and Manual dexterity

Use of cleaning solutions occasionally
