Basic Function:  Develop, implement and support programs, projects, special events and activities designed to increase revenue. Directly responsible for the efficient running of Camp Coyote, Arts and Culture, and Native American Program and on-property events.

Work Performed:

  1. Supervise efficient operation of Camp Coyote and facilitate and supervise on-property guest programs and events
  2. Flyer creation for special events and on-site marketing
  3. Assist in the planning and execution of resort special events, activities and programs
  4. Complete check requests, performance agreements, and BEOs for on-property events
  5. Maintain quarterly activities, calendar, and distribute any updates
  6. Keep all electronic marketing throughout the Resort current (TVs, screens, etc.)
  7. Proof read promotional material
  8. Administration and data entry
  9. Track guest comments trends and present information to Activities Director and Activities Manager.
  10. Order and maintain inventories arts and culture and Camp Coyote
  11. Work with Concierge in scheduling, booking, activities as needed
  12. Assist department leads with projects
  13. Schedule Camp Coyote staff and lead Camp meetings
  14. Responsible for Camp Payroll on a bi-weekly basis
  15. Handle employee relations issues and upholding HR policies and procedures
  16. Attend Safety Committee meetings and communicate updates to the department
  17. Screen, interviews, hire, and train Camp Coyote employees
  18. Other duties as assigned

Supervision Exercised:  Camp Counselors and Arts & Culture third party subcontractors

Supervision Received:  Director of Activities


Responsibility and Authority:

  1. Understand functions of various departments, including Concierge, Camp Coyote, Tennis, Native American programs, Guest programs, Special Events, Hike and Bike programs
  2. Decision-making input for events in relation to room set up, menu design, etc.
  3. Be available on-call based upon occupancy and availability of tasks and work flexible hours
  4. Complete projects without direct supervision
  5. Create, implement, organize and direct activities, special events & promotions
  6. Supervise other Resort activities and special events for all age groups
  7. Prepare purchase requisitions as needed and obtain Director of Activities signature and approval

Minimum Requirements:

Prefer B.A. Degree in Parks and Recreation Management/related field or two years’ experience in child development, recreation, or education. Previous experience in child day care industry preferred.  Must have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with ease.  Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.  Self-motivated, organized and creative with strong public relations skills.  Excellent team member relations skills.  Must be able to maintain current CPR, first aid and food handler’s certification
