Basic Functions

  • This position will serve as the primary contact and face of Enchantment executing all Sales and Service responsibilities for all Racquet Sports, Target Sports, and Special Event Activities offered.
  • Administrative responsibilities include; Assisting the Director of Activities in planning the annual budget, yearly forecasts, annual capital expenditure, 
  • Responsible for the ordering of supplies according to budget and submitting of invoices in a timely manner. 
  • Under the general direction of the Activities Manager and Director of Activities, facilitate Tennis, Pickleball, Axe & Target Throwing Programs, and Activities Lawn Rentals. 
  • Coordinate and Organize all Special Events including but not limited to Annual Red Rock Holidays, Easter Holiday activities, Trivia Night, etc.
  • Responsible for the hiring, training, and scheduling, and supervision of all Racquet Sports, Axe Throwing, Trivia Night, Special Events team members.
  • Responsible for scheduling all team members
  • Responsible for handling all guest requests, complaints, concerns, and issues in a professional, respectful, and timely manner
  • In collaboration with the Activities Director revisit and elevate the operation and policies of the racquet, target, trivia, and special events to elevate the guest experience, increase sales, and service making regarding the Games Department including planning the calendar of events for the year as well as booking and supervising any Group-related games events. 


Work Performed:

  1. Maintain all equipment, structures, and facilities, perform monthly inspections of all equipment, training and team development, as well as curriculum development. Maintain a professional and presentable guest space including, but not limited to, 2 tennis courts, 5 pickleball courts, Tennis Pro’s office, Tennis Viewing Deck, Games Grotto, Activities Lawn, and the Axe Throwing area. 
  2. Promote and market the Games program to guests to ensure profitability
  3. Be an advocate for the Games program to guests to ensure profitability
  4. Take care of Games on the Activities Lawn, clean them regularly and bring them inside during bad weather. 
  5. Utilizing booking software to book, track, assign, team members and resources in Flybook. Utilizing booking software to post, track assign activities in guest folios in Maestro.
  6. Responsible for all cash, credit and charges incurred in tennis and activities center
  7. Updating and tracking all department certifications for Tennis team (CPR/AED, First Aid, USPTA, etc.) 
  8. Assist in creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures for games programs.
  9. Other duties as assigned
  10. Maintain Games, Target Sports, and Racquet equipment. 
  11. Act as an ambassador for the Trail House and the Artist cottage in addition to the Games department.

Responsibility, Authority & Expectations:

  1. Minimum 30 hours dedicated and focused towards sales and a 5-star customer service.
  2. Work schedule assigned by the Manager or Director.
  3. Opportunity to work up to an additional 10 hours “in the field” i.e. as a target sports instructor, pickleball/tennis coach, artist, etc.
  4. With the approval of the Manager or Director of Activities, employees may work OT as needed based on business/guest needs.
  5. The position shall not have the authority to assign themselves to activities.
  6. 75% of the time or a dedicated 30 hours per week, will be the primary job code with a focus on sales/service and is commission based.
  7. 25% of the time up to 10 hours per week in the field will be a secondary job code and are gratuity eligible.
  8. Maintain outside business contacts within the community to include associations that relate to Tennis programming.
  9. Assist with yearly evaluations; assist with notes of conversation and all disciplinary actions, and decision making with the best interest of the department and resort.
  10. Promote and market the Games program to guests to ensure profitability.
  11. Help direct and motivate the staff.


Minimum Requirements

  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications required; USPTA certification a plus.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and teaching skills.
  • Detail-oriented, creative, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Ability to oversee Games programs, exercise sound judgment, influence team performance, and intervene when necessary to achieve operational objectives.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Safety-sensitive position.
     

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of leadership, supervisory, and people management experience.
  • Strong customer service and sales skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with racquet sports and target sports preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in FlyBook and Maestro preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others and foster a positive team environment.
  • Commitment to representing the company professionally and in its best interest at all times.
